Local Organization
In Brazil, ISVC 2028 will be hosted by the Associação Brasileira de Buiatria (ABB), a nonprofit scientific organization founded in 1980 and nationally recognized for its continued work advancing scientific, technical, and professional knowledge in ruminant veterinary medicine.
ABB serves as Brazil’s official representative to the International Sheep Veterinary Association (ISVA) and has extensive experience organizing major scientific events, notably the uninterrupted organization of the Congresso Brasileiro de Buiatria (CBB) since 1981, totaling fifteen editions.

Associação Brasileira de Buiatria (ABB)
ABB is composed of representatives from its regional associations, currently present in 20 Brazilian states and the Distrito Federal.
The ISVC 2028 Local Organizing Committee (LOC) includes faculty members and researchers with recognized scientific, institutional, and organizational experience, representing different regions of Brazil and working in close coordination with the International Sheep Veterinary Association (ISVA) and the Associação Brasileira de Buiatria (ABB).
The committee includes members of the Associação Pernambucana de Buiatria (APEB), Associação de Buiatria da Bahia, Associação de Buiatria do Rio de Janeiro, Associação Paranaense de Buiatria, and Associação Gaúcha de Buiatria.

The Local Organizing Committee consists of the following members:
• President: Prof. Dr. Huber Rizzo (PE), faculty member at DMV/UFRPE and treasurer of APEB.
• Vice President: Dr. Mário Felipe Balaro (RJ), president of the Associação de Buiatria do Rio de Janeiro, veterinarian at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), and resident of the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management.
• Treasurer: Profa. Dra. Priscilla Fajardo (PR), president of the Associação Paranaense de Buiatria and faculty member at Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL).
• Secretary: Profa. Dra. Raquel Fraga da Silva (RS), council member of the Associação Gaúcha de Buiatria and faculty member at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
• Secretary: Dr. Vitor Santiago de Carvalho (BA), finance director of the Associação de Buiatria da Bahia and veterinarian at the Centro de Desenvolvimento da Pecuária, Universidade Federal da Bahia (CDP/UFBA).
